Megan Grant is an artist who lives and works in Melbourne’s west. Megan holds a bachelor of Fine Arts from RMIT and works on a full time studio practice, where she paints, illustrates and creates visual imagery of many kinds.

Megan’s paintings are held in private collections throughout Australia. Her work has been exhibited regularly at Melbourne’s Fenton and Fenton, and has been shown in many gallery spaces from the Melbourne Exhibition Building to the Heide Museum of Modern Art. Her visual design and work has been commissioned for literature, mural art, commercial projects and brand collaborations - most notably, twice collaborating with iconic Australian fashion brand, Gorman.

Megan’s works are vivid and complex explorations of the language of paint - colour, texture and brushstroke. She works intuitively on canvas, with gestural mark making and layers built upon layers, each piece a journey of searching for balance and meaning out of of chaotic beginnings. Familiar themes of still life, botanicals and interiors are abstracted and weaved into her paintings, anchoring works that are driven by process - the constant dance between careful consideration and playful abandon.

Megan’s original paintings are available for purchase at Melbourne’s Fenton and Fenton.
